Honest to Blog?

So it seems that it isn't cool to blog anymore... well due to that recent transition I felt the sudden urge to do just that. Even if I don't have much to blog about I figured I could throw a few pictures of the kitty-child up here. These are her in her natural state. She looks very à la mode dans une boite du couture :) We discovered this sweet kitty dish the other day at Targét. I loved the fish appliqué so we just had to get it for her. She was so put off by the new addition that she tip toed around it until she figured out that it held one of her favorite things... food :) Brandon and I went to see Wall-E the other night and it was really good. It was hilarious and even made me tear up a few times :*( I would've taken Wall-E home with me if I could've but he is fictitious.. sadly.

Lone Star Park

Saturday Brandon and I went to Lone Star Park for a Picnic that Honda was having. It turned out to be in this huge pavillion so I guess it was more than a picnic but thats what they were calling it. There was tons of food there, best of all were the chocolate cookies! They had a few games that some people were playing and there was a bouncy castle outside for the children. I was a bit saddened that it was children only. I do enjoy the bouncy castles. :)
It was sooo HOT outside!! :O !
We bet $5 on a horse named Afternoon Punch. The high stakes bet was made solely on his name. I was convinced he got 3rd place but when I went up to claim my little winnings I came to find out that he apparently did not place at all. How sad for Afternoon Punch. We stayed for about two hours and spent most of it with Megan and David. After a while there wasn't much left to do and the heat was really getting to us. It was really cool seeing a race though, we had never done that before. We had a lot of fun and were glad that Honda threw such a good "picnic" for its employees :)

My trip to New York

About a week and a half ago I took a short trip to New York. I only stayed four days in total, but those four days were filled with more things than i could have thought possible to do in such a short amount of time. I visited with my family, shipped a ton of my stuff out here from my moms house, hung out with friends and just did all i could to spend as much time with everyone as I could. On Friday I went out with Lisa and had a lot of fun. We ran into my friend Marlene and her boyfriend Chris. I hadn't seen them in a few years so it was a really good night.

That Saturday was my dad's birthday so I took him out to dinner. My aunt and uncle and my mom joined us. I had the waiter bring out a cake for him and they sang happy birthday. I've never seen him so embarassed! It was great and he was really happy :). I wish I could have spent more time out there with everyone, I miss them so much and it always hits me so much harder when i'm there. It was so great to be able to visit and have such a good time.
