Alice in Wonderland

I just found out today when I got home from work that Tim Burton is making a live-action and CGI version of the "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" story.

He tells Sci-Fi Wire that the story is "just such a classic, and the imagery is so surreal. I don't know; I've never seen a version where I feel like they got it all. It's a series of weird adventures, and to try to do it where it works as a movie will be interesting...The imagery, they've never quite nailed making it compelling as a full story. So I think it's an interesting challenge to direct."

It's of course starring Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp as "the mad hatter". Anne Hathaway is also going to be in it. I'm crazy about all of Tim Burtons movies. I waited so long for the corpse bride to come out and I really loved it. Big Fish is one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm saddened to find that it isn't going to be released until 2010. But when it is I'm sure it'll be amazing.
