About a week and a half ago I took a short trip to New York. I only stayed four days in total, but those four days were filled with more things than i could have thought possible to do in such a short amount of time. I visited with my family, shipped a ton of my stuff out here from my moms house, hung out with friends and just did all i could to spend as much time with everyone as I could. On Friday I went out with Lisa and had a lot of fun. We ran into my friend Marlene and her boyfriend Chris. I hadn't seen them in a few years so it was a really good night.
That Saturday was my dad's birthday so I took him out to dinner. My aunt and uncle and my mom joined us. I had the waiter bring out a cake for him and they sang happy birthday. I've never seen him so embarassed!
It was great and he was really happy :). I wish I could have spent more time out there with everyone, I miss them so much and it always hits me so much harder when i'm there. It was so great to be able to visit and have such a good time.

It is always good to go home... especially to escape the heat, I'm sure! But we are so glad you are here. Now we just need to actually get together sometime!!
